The beginnings of Café Monet started out many years ago with Pam Bennett, selling cups of tea and slices of cake to the first visitors of to what was then Bennetts Waterlily Farm.
As years went by and the visitor numbers grew Angie Bennett, daughter in law of Pam opened a small tea room serving light lunches, cakes and our famous home made Apple cakes and scones.
In 2006 Cafe Monet was born with Angie & Jonathan Bennett remodeling and rebuilding the tearoom into a larger, brighter more modern space. Opening the space up to enabled our visitors to be able to sit and enjoy good food whist taking in the beautiful views over the lakes.
Carrying on our family tradition, in 2012 Laura – daughter in law of Angie & Jonathan took over the running of Cafe Monet. We still use many of our original family recipes for our traditional cakes and match these with new modern favourites.
